Most of us know the dangers of drinking and driving. Slowed reactions, blurred vision, and a loss of common sense can cause us to make the wrong decisions or react slowly to danger. Mix this with a 1 ton piece of metal travelling up to 70 miles per hour, and you have a lot of trouble on your hand.
On the 1st December 2003 it became illegal to drive in the UK whilst using a mobile phone, yet many still drive whilst nattering away or texting their friends. I myself have come close to a crash, when a driver who was on his mobile strayed across lanes.
A group of high-school students in Wales, along with filmmaker Peter Watkin-Hughes and a police force, created a short video showing the dangers of texting while driving. The video shows 3 girlfriends in a car are driving down a dual carriageway. The girls are laughing and chatting, whilst the driver of the car texts her friend. As she takes her eyes off of the road to check the phone number to send the text to, the car swerves into the path of an oncoming car, causing an accident.
The video is to be shown in schools this autumn, and is embedded below, as we believe that as many people as possible should see it to stop this from happening for real.
Be Warned that the video has a gruesome nature, and may not be suitable for those of a sensitive nature.

A friend of mine from Birmingham has the worst driving habits I’ve ever seen. She texts while driving all the time, she drives at 80+ mph on the motorway so close to the car in front she can smell the driver’s aftershave. She’s given me a lift one time. I’ll never get in her car again.
The only thing this PSA has accomplished is spending many thousands upon thousands of taxpayers money. I doubt it will have any effect on habitual texters. Not one jot.
Women Drivers TBH, She’d have done that texting or not hahaha
*Awaits flood of abuse*
