Firefox Sets World Record Image

On June 18 2008, the Mozilla community was challenged to set a new world record.

This world record was for the most software downloads in 24 hours and was set at a very respectable level.

In the first 24 hours of release 8,002,530 downloads of Firefox 3.0 were completed, and as of today there have been more than 28 million downloads of the software.
